I read your Expanded Horizons story, and it was mythic. Nice work.

Those are two beautiful pieces. I really enjoyed the mythic quality of both stories, and the rythm of the prose, thanks for linking :)

I enjoyed this one too! I loved the quiet help that Anubis gave to Isis, and I liked the various things that sprang from her as she searched for the pieces of Osiris: ravens, reeds, irises, fish, palm trees, oasis, volcano, spiders, apple trees. (Why was one raven a creature of Typhon, though? But I figured it was not one of the ravens she created herself. In any case, I liked that that raven wanted to hang on to the bright eyes of Osiris)

I loved also the very end, about the crocodile not eating its victims' hearts--and when I was going back to look at the beginning, I noticed that Typhon had smiled like a crocodile. Nice :-)

Just read this one--that's beautiful! I love that the birds of dawn go chasing after those little bits of dark one, even today. And I like that the Princess of the Stars trusts that she'll heal and rest, and that the wolf's song will cheer her.

Is it a retelling, or based mainly on your imagination?

(now off to read the other one)
